Developed by Playtech, Blackjack Surrender offers a few tweaks and treats here and there to make up the ultimate gaming experience. The visuals are second to none and the presentation of the game is overall very impressive.
You can play this online casino game here at Slingo Casino.
The object of the game is the same as for the classical Blackjack game; you need for the total of your cards to be closer to 21 than the dealer's cards without exceeding 21. You get to do this with up to five hands you can play simultaneously.
The game has a few exceptions to the standard Blackjack rules: you may not split a split hand; only one card is draw to split aces, the dealer will check for Blackjack if his up card is an ace or a ten-valued card; and you can surrender on the first two cards if the dealer checks for Blackjack.
The surrender option in this game is termed "late surrender". If the dealer has checked for Blackjack you can Surrender and half of your original bet is returned to you, and your hand is over. This means that you don't have a chance of surrendering when the dealer has a blackjack.
This rule is advantageous to the player, but only makes a 0.08% difference to the house edge. Blackjack games where you are allowed to surrender before the dealer peeks for a blackjack are termed "early surrender" and are rare due to the large player advantage this rule confers (around 0.24%).
Starting a game requires a bet on at least one betting circle, followed by the deal button at the bottom of the screen. The animations then take over, presenting your cards along with stand, hit, double, split, and surrender options shown to the right.
Blackjack Surrender is a brilliant choice for all Blackjack players as the game provides more options, which are more than welcome in a simple and straightforward card game such as Blackjack.
