How to Play Jacks or Better Live Casino
Playing the Jacks or Better game is easy. First you’ll need to decide on your bet per hand, which you can adjust using the arrows next to the BET PER button to the right of the DEAL button.
When you’re ready to start playing, click DEAL. You’ll be shown five cards face up. You’ll then have the option to decide whether to hold certain cards in the hope that you’ll get a payout on the next hand. To hold a card, simply click on it.
Once you’ve made your decision, click DRAW to draw new cards (other than any you have chosen to hold). The cards you choose to remove will be discarded from the game entirely.
If you get a winning hand, this will flash up on the screen and also be highlighted in the paytable at the top left of the game screen. Only the highest award is paid per hand.

- Straight Flush: Next is the straight flush, which is worth 50 credits. It’s made up of five sequential cards of the same suit, e.g. 6,7,8,9, 10 of hearts.
- Four of a Kind: This hand is worth 25 credits and consists of four cards of the same number, such as four Queens or four 8s.
- Full House: Worth 9 credits. It’s made up of a hand with three of a kind plus a pair (e.g. three 8s and two Queens).
- Flush: This hand is worth 5 credits and consists of five cards of the same suit.
- Straight: A straight is worth 4 credits and is made up of five cards in sequential order, although not necessarily of the same suit.
- Three of a Kind: This hand is worth 3 credits and is made up of three cards of the same number, e.g. three Kings or three 2s.
- Two Pair: Worth 2 credits. This hand consists of two pairs of cards, each pair containing the same number (e.g. two Aces and two 9s).
- Jacks or Better: Worth 1 credit. A pair of matching cards with a value of Jack or higher (e.g. two Jacks, Queens, Kings or Aces).
