What Is 90 Ball Bingo?

90 ball bingo is the most popular form of bingo in the UK, and it’s the most traditional version of the game in this country. It’s widely played in other countries, too, and players all over the world love its simple structure and real money prizes.

The game was introduced to the UK in the 1960s and took bingo halls up and down the country by storm. It continues to be played in physical halls today, although the online version of the game is becoming an even more popular way to play.

The game is played on a 3x9 card, and each line of 9 boxes has 5 numbers and 4 empty spots.

One of our favourite things about 90 ball bingo is that there are three chances to win in any one game, creating an exciting gaming experience with plenty of opportunities to win!

Read on to find out more about this fun bingo game, which you can play at Slingo.com.

90-Ball Bingo: Learn the Basics

Before you play 90 ball bingo online, you’ll need to learn the basics. Here’s a quick run-down of everything you need to know:

Game Rules

In 90 ball bingo, players must buy tickets for each game.

The price of a ticket varies for each bingo game. When tickets are available for purchase, the ticket price is clearly shown on the face of each ticket.

Once the game has started, each ticket has a unique ticket number.

Just like in traditional bingo, the aim is to mark off numbers on the grid when they are called out.

The player who is the first to mark off the required pattern wins the prize.

Players can choose to mark off numbers themselves or use the auto-daub feature.

90-Ball Bingo Cards

90 ball bingo uses 3x9 cards.

Each line of 9 boxes has 5 numbers and 4 empty spots.

In 90 ball bingo, a strip is a group of 6 tickets. Each number from 1 through to 90 will appear on each full strip, and if one of these numbers is called out it will be marked off on the card.

The numbers from 1 to 90 are arranged in a specific pattern - numbers 1 to 9 in the first column, 10 to 19 in the second column and so on.

Winning Patterns

In 90 ball bingo, there are three different prizes up for grabs. To win one, you’ll need to complete a specific pattern on your cards.

Here’s a quick run-down of the different patterns:

Any one line: Mark off any one line on your card to win a prize

Any two lines: Complete any two lines to be rewarded

Full house (three lines): Mark off all the numbers on a card to win the top prize
